Bachelor of Arts Work & Labour Studies
Explore the transformative landscape of labor studies through our Bachelor of Arts program at the globally acclaimed McMaster School of Labour Studies. Our interdisciplinary approach offers a unique educational experience, immersing students in the complexities of modern labor markets, labor issues, and the pursuit of gender and racial equality in the workplace.
In this intellectually stimulating environment, students actively participate in discussions, addressing pressing questions inspired by our specialized curriculum:
- How do we overcome hurdles for gender and racial equality in the workplace?
- What measures can be taken to ensure safety and health at work?
- What factors contribute to the rise of precarious job situations?
- Is it possible to make our economy more eco-friendly?
- What practical solutions exist for these challenges, and do unions still play a significant role?
- Despite being a smaller program, we prioritize building meaningful connections.
- Our students forge close relationships with passionate professors who guide them through the complexities of labor studies. In the classroom, we not only inform but also challenge our students to think critically.
Our faculty stands at the forefront of cutting-edge research, examining crucial labor issues both in Canada and globally. We take pride in our committed staff, offering excellent and approachable guidance and services to ensure a rich educational experience.
Embark on a journey with us, where education goes beyond the classroom, and students are equipped to address the dynamic challenges shaping the working world today.
